Detect Registry Errors – Find Out If Your Registry Is Corrupt

posted by Mike Tucker

If you are looking for a way to detect registry errors you will need a program made for cleaning and repairing registry errors. Windows does not come with anything so you will need to download a third party application.

While there are some free programs you can download and run you will soon learn that most of them don’t do a good job. A lot of programs are made that way so you upgrade to their Pro version. You’re better off investing in a professional registry repair program right from the start. Any one of the programs listed on our main page are recommended. You will get excellent tech support and lifetime updates.

Free registry cleaners do not perform deep scans and will usually find only one third of the errors that a professional program will. So how do you know if you have registry errors or not? Signs of registry errors are program crashes, blue screens, freezing, slow start up or slow shutdowns, program errors, missing DLL files, slow applications and other such errors.

If you’re not sure if you have registry errors and are trying to decide if you need a registry cleaner or not I recommend downloading one of the free scans on our main page and run it. It will only allow you to remove a couple of errors but it will at least tell you how many are on your PC. From there you can decide whether to purchase the program are not.

The Windows registry is one of the most often overlooked systems on your computer
. Most people never perform maintenance for cleaning on it. You may have not even heard of your registry before. All software on your computer needs to reference the registry for settings before it loads or shuts down. Especially when your computer boots. If you have a corrupt registry or a lot of orphaned registry entries your computer will be, sluggish.

Every time you install or uninstall software it creates a new registry key or tries to delete the matching one for the program you are trying to uninstall, in most cases it does not delete it. This leaves behind in orphaned registry file. Every time you start or shutdown your computer Windows tries to reference these orphaned files to software that is no longer installed on your computer. In some cases it will wait the default 30 seconds before moving on. This is biggest reason computers become slow over time.

Cleaning and maintaining your registry is like giving your computer a good tuneup. The first time you do it and reboot your computer you will be amazed at the increased performance and speed. In most cases this will eliminate any errors you’re having.

Detecting registry errors can be done manually but it’s not recommended. Delete or change or wrong registry entry in your computer may become unusable. It’s safer and much easier using software made for detecting registry errors.
