I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new PC. I unpacked the box and set it up. I press the power button and my new computer comes to life. I go through the setup process and download the latest Windows updates. My computer restarts itself and greets me with a window 7 blue screen of death.

Well isn’t that just great. You would think Microsoft would get their act together by now. I shut it down and restart it again this time it starts up normally. The first thing I do is install my registry repair software. I run it not expecting to find anything, since I have not loaded any software on my brand new computer yet. Well I was wrong, 127 errors.

I backup the original registry just in case and run the repair option. This completely solved my problem and I have not had another episode of the Windows 7 blue screen error. In fact it has been several months now and my computer has been running flawlessly. I feel bad for the average customer that would not know how to handle this situation.

While Windows 7 has been greatly improved it still will have minor problems occasionally. Including the Windows registry. It seems they did nothing to solve that problem. However it still is a great improvement over the other operating systems. I would choose Windows 7 over any other Windows operating system.

I do recommend you get a good professional registry cleaner. Windows has not provide one so you will have to purchase one from a third party. The registry scanner/cleaners we recommend our on our main page. Any of these will work great with any Windows operating system, including Windows 7.

You can avoid future problems by keeping your registry optimized and clean. You may try installing older software that is not compatible with Windows 7. When doing so the software will make changes to the registry. You need to delete or repair these registry entries that try to reference software that is not there or not working properly.

Most people do not do this and this is where problems begin. The more corrupt or orphaned registry entries you have the slower your computer will become. In most cases this is why older computers become so slow. Not sure if you have a registry problem? Download one of the registry cleaners and run it. This will tell you how many errors you have. You can decide from there if you need to purchase the software or not. It is free to scan but you will have to buy the software to make repairs, it is a wise investment.

Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working - Fix It Yourself http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-explorer-has-stopped-working-fix-it-yourself http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-explorer-has-stopped-working-fix-it-yourself#comments Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:21:05 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=195 Windows Explorer has stopped working and you are not sure why. Most of the time it is easily fixed. Following a few simple tips you should be able to fix your Windows Explorer problem your self. In almost all cases is a software problem and you will not have to run out and buy a new computer or take it to your local PC repair shop.

The easiest thing to do if your computer just started having this problem recently is to use your restore function. Go back a few days or pick a time before your Windows Explorer stopped working problem began. If you are lucky that solved the problem and you’re done. If your registry is corrupted, bloated, or has many bad entries you will have Windows Explorer problems.

You need to clean and repair your Windows registry. Since most computers do not come with a registry cleaner you will have to download one from a third party. We usually advise against using the free registry cleaners, as tempting as they may be. The fact is they do not do a complete job and some are so poorly written they will damage your computer make you problem even worse. Your problem right now maybe Windows Explorer has stopped working but if you delete or alter the wrong registry entry because of a cheap registry cleaner your computer may not be able to restart.

Other causes of the Windows Explorer has stopped working problem may be because of a virus or spyware running on your computer. So you will want to make sure you do a complete virus scan after updating your antivirus definitions and of course a complete spyware scan and cleaning. Performing these tasks may take the better part of an afternoon but your computer will be running like it did when it was new. All your lost performance and speed should be back again and your Windows Explorer should be working properly.

Windows XP Crash Recovery http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-xp-crash-recovery http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-xp-crash-recovery#comments Tue, 15 Dec 2009 20:26:53 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=188 In most cases the Windows XP crash problem is not that hard to fix. Unless you have a severe hardware problem your XP crashes are caused by incompatible software and other software related issues. Following the tips in this article you should be able to fix the problem yourself. Saving yourself a considerable PC repair shop bill.

Hopefully Your Windows XP Crash Problem Is Not This Bad

Hopefully Your Windows XP Crash Problem Is Not This Bad

To start with think about what has changed on your PC when the problems started. Did you install a new program?, change settings, uninstall software or improperly shut your computer down? In some cases you may be able to just use your restore feature built-in to Windows XP for crash recovery.

Go to your start menu and click help and support. Find your restore option and go back to a day that you knew your computer was working properly. This will not always fix your problem but it is easy to do and worth trying, if you have not done so already. A Windows XP crash can be caused by many different things. If you’re able to start your computer normally you can start by doing a general cleaning. Go to my computer, select your hard drive, right click and select properties. From there you can clean your hard drive and preform a ScanDisk.

Once you have done that you will want to update your antivirus definitions and run a full scan to make sure you do not have a virus infecting your computer. Next you’ll want to scan for spyware and ad aware. Spyware can use up lots of resources on your computer causing it to crash. Viruses and spyware can use all of your available memory leaving nothing to run Windows XP on. The result is a Windows XP crash.

If you have not solved your problem yet you’ve more than likely have a Windows XP registry problem. Most of the time when PC users suffer from a Windows XP crash it is because of a corrupted or damaged registry. All of your software and settings have to reference the Windows registry in order to work properly. It is like the heart of your computer. Every time you install or uninstall software you make changes to the registry.

Eventually you end up with a bloated Windows registry with a lot of orphaned files that try to reference software that is no longer there or working properly. The results are a Windows XP crash, blue screens, programs freezing, slow startup or slow shutdown, your computer running very slow and other general problems. If the damage is severe enough your computer may not be able to start up properly. You may be able to start up in safe mode and repair your registry.

As Windows does not come with a registry cleaner/scanner you will have to download one from a third party. As tempting as they may be I recommend you avoid the free ones. There’s a reason they are free, most of them don’t work properly or do a complete job. Some may possibly even damage your computer making your problem worse than it is now. You are better off investing in a good professional registry cleaner to start with. It will still be less than a single visit to the computer repair shop.

Plus you will want to perform regular maintenance on your computer, once you have it running properly again. Regular cleaning and maintenance on your registry should be part of your regular routine. Doing so may keep your computer running smooth and error free. You may never have to suffer the Windows XP crash again.

Slow PC Startup - Fix It Fast With These Tips http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/slow-pc-startup-fix-it-fast-with-these-tips http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/slow-pc-startup-fix-it-fast-with-these-tips#comments Tue, 08 Dec 2009 15:57:32 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=183 If you are having a slow PC startup problem running Windows you are not alone. A slow start is a fairly common problem, here are some tips you can follow which will cure your problem 95% of the time. There are a variety of reasons why your PC is starting up slow so you may have to try several different things before you correct your problem.

Suffering From The Slow PC Startup Blues?

Suffering From The Slow PC Startup Blues?

To start with your going to want to do general maintenance on your computer to clean up. Click you or my computer icon you have one on your desktop and right click on your hard drive, select properties. From there you will find the tools we can perform a cleanup, disk scan and defrag. Start with the cleanup. If it has been a long time or you have never preformed a defrag on your hard drive I recommend starting this at night before going to bed since it can take a very long time. You can skip this step for know if you want.

Next you should update your antivirus definitions and run a complete scan to make sure you don’t have a virus running slowing your PC down. You will also want to preformed a full scan for spyware and ad aware. These types of programs can run in the background without you knowing it using up a lot of resources, slowing your computer down. You will also want to check the options for your antivirus program. Some of them are set to scan every time you boot your computer. If yours is you can turn it off as you do not need to scan every single time you start your computer up.

Next you will want to remove any programs from your startup that you do not need to load. A lot of software conveniently places themselves in your startup for you. How nice of them. However you do not need to have them load every single startup, as you probably do not use them constantly.

The number one reason for a slow PC startup is a bloated, corrupt or damaged Windows registry. Every time you start up your PC it references the registry in order to load the correct software and settings. If you have a corrupt registry entry windows will pause on this on start up trying to reference software that may no longer be there or it’s not working properly. The startup may pause for as long as 30 seconds per bad entry. So you can see if you have a lot of bad entries which you probably do why your computer is so slow to start up.

Since Windows does not come with a registry scanner or cleaner you will have to get one from a third party. As tempting as they may be I recommend staying away from the free versions. Free registry cleaners never do a complete job. They are made that way to give you a reason to upgrade to their professional version. You’re much better off getting a good professional version to start with, even though you will have to pay for it. However it is a very good investment for your computer. Plus you will get lifetime upgrades and updates to the software.

Slow PC startup can also be caused by defective hardware. If your hard drive is going bad or your memory is on its way out is also calls a slow start up. But these are rare cases. It is almost always a software problem. Most people overlook performing maintenance on their PC and wait until they have a major problem before doing anything. You should add the Windows registry to your regular maintenance routine. If you properly maintain your PC you will never have the slow PC startup problem.

Windows XP Registry Repair - Do It Yourself http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-xp-registry-repair-do-it-yourself http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-xp-registry-repair-do-it-yourself#comments Tue, 01 Dec 2009 16:02:25 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=179 Windows XP Registry repair can be a bit of a challenge if you do not know what you are doing. While you can get access to the registry and edit it manually we usually don’t recommend doing it that way. If you alter or delete the wrong registry file your computer may become unstable or even unusable. Besides, if you have ever looked at your windows XP registry you know there are thousands of files and it becomes very confusing. Windows XP Registry Repair

Even experienced computer technicians have trouble when it comes to Windows registry. However there is a much easier solution and that is registry repair software. Software that is made for the job will save you lots of time and aggravation. Plus it is safe. Most good programs will allow you to backup your entire registry before changing anything, making it almost foolproof.

Here’s a little tip for you. We always recommend that you avoid the free registry repair programs, as tempting as they may be. I love free software but professional Windows XP Registry repair software is well worth the investment. You have to ask yourself, why are they free? These companies tempt you by getting you to download their free version. Free software is not made to do a complete or thorough job. If they did you would have no reason to upgrade to their Pro version.

Don’t believe me? Download a free version and run it in repair everything it finds. Download another free registry cleaner and run it. I can almost guarantee you it will find many more corrupt or bad registry entries, proving the first one didn’t do its job. I don’t know about you but I would rather spend a little money on a good professional registry cleaner and know that my computer is fully optimized and will stay running smooth.

Another great feature of paid registry cleaners is that you can schedule them to do the routine maintenance which you should be doing an regular basis. This way when you forget, like I do, the program will remind you to run a scan. Windows XP Registry repair only takes a few minutes with the proper software. Your computer will run like it did when it was new and your errors will be eliminated.

Not sure if you have a Windows XP Registry problem? Download a program and run a scan. From there you can tell how many bad entries you have and decide whether you need to purchase the program or not. Most people are shocked at the amount of bad registry entries their computer has. The file system becomes bloated and slow after a few years.

Blue screen, freezing, lockups, slow boot up, slow shutdown, software that will not load and other such errors are common symptoms of a bad windows XP registry. Don’t wait until it’s too late. If you do your computer may just decide not to start up one day and you’ll be out shopping for a new PC.

Slow Computer Boot Up - Fix It Now http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/slow-computer-boot-up-fix-it-now http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/slow-computer-boot-up-fix-it-now#comments Tue, 24 Nov 2009 18:59:46 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=172 Are you suffering with the slow computer boot up blues? let me tell you there is nothing worse than a slow computer. I had one system I would start up before taking a shower in the morning, that’s how slow it was booting up. So what do you do? Make a pot of coffee while your computer boots up? Well it doesn’t have to be this way. You can speed up your computer and restore all that lost performance you used to have. Slow computer boot up

Here are some tips you can follow to speed up that slow computer. First of all you want to remove any programs from startup that you do not absolutely need running. By default a lot of software puts their programming your start up, it really doesn’t need to be running all the time. If you’re not sure what it is to not remove it. You can disable it, and see if you run into any problems.

Next you will want to perform maintenance on your computer, which you probably haven’t done in a while. Clean out your temporary files, delete your cookies and empty your recycle bin. If you have never done so you will want to defragments your hard drive. However this takes an awful long time so you may want to start it before going to bed. Last time mine took over 12 hours.

After that you want to do a full virus scan after updating your definitions. Make sure you have the latest updates. You’ll also want to do a full spyware/ad aware scan. Many people have spyware running on their computer in the background using up a lot of resources and are never aware of it. If you need a good spyware remover you can download a good professional spyware remover here.

Depending on what antivirus program you have, make sure it’s not your to scan every time your computer starts, this will really cause a slow computer boot up. So far so good? Let’s get onto the biggest reason computers are slow to boot up. The Windows registry. Registry is like the heart of your operating system at least if you’re running Windows. All software has to reference the registry for the correct settings and registry keys for your software.

When your computer boots up, load programs or shuts down it has to reference the registry. Most people have a corrupt or bloated registry and don’t know it. What happens is when your computer boots up it comes across these corrupted or orphaned registry keys and tries to reference the software that goes with them. By default Windows will pause to look for the programs before moving on. If you have many bad registry entries, which you probably do this can take forever for a computer to boot up.

What you need to do is clean up these corrupted or orphaned registry keys. If you are a very experienced with Windows operating system you can do this by hand. It is usually not recommended though. If you delete or alter the wrong registry key your computer may become unstable or unusable. It is much better to use software to do the job for you, safely. If you do not have a good registry scanner/cleaner you will have to download one since Windows does not supply one.

While the free registry cleaners are tempting I would not recommend them. Most of them are poorly written and do not do a thorough scan of your computer, on purpose. If they did the job they were supposed to do there would be no reason for you to upgrade to their “professional version”. So why not just invest in a good registry repair program to start with.

Not sure if you need a registry cleaner? Best way to find out is download a trial version and run a scan on your computer. From there you can see how many corrupt or bad registry entries you have and decide whether you need a registry cleaner or not. To make the necessary repairs and to cure your slow computer boot up you will have to purchase the program.

Internet Explorer Running Slow - Try These Tips http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/internet-explorer-running-slow http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/internet-explorer-running-slow#comments Fri, 30 Oct 2009 14:37:20 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=170 One question we get asked a lot is why is my Internet Explorer running slow. There may be several reasons and you may have to look into all of them before you up your Internet Explorer. First of all you want to make sure you have the latest updates installed on your PC. Windows often comes out with fixes to common problems.

Some people are having trouble with Internet Explorer version 8. I usually recommend to keep up with the latest version of Internet Explorer but if you have been running a lower version without problems up until now you may want to hold off. So what is your Internet Explorer running slow? Have you installed anything new lately? If so you may be able to use the restore feature on your computer and cure your problem.

If the problem has been building up slowly over time and is getting slower and slower you may have a registry problem. Registry errors or corrupt registry is most common cause of Internet Explorer running slow. Every time you install or uninstall software you alter the registry files. Most uninstall programs do not clean the registry when they uninstall software. Therefore they leave behind a registry entry for software which is no longer on your computer.

The Registry is like the heart of your computer. Your Windows operating system will reference the registry every time it starts, shuts down or loads programs, like Internet Explorer. If you’re of a bloated registry or too many corrupt entries your computer will start running very slow. Windows operating system references these entries and looks for the software that is no longer there and tries to load it. Eventually it’ll give up and move on but this can really bog your system down.

It is wise to invest in a professional registry cleaner. While you can find free registry cleaners we usually don’t recommend them. Some of them will do more harm to your computer then good. You may end up with a bigger problem than you have now. You paid good money for your computer why not invest in professional software that will keep it running smooth and efficient.

You can visit our Main page for the ones we trust and recommend. If you’re not sure you need a registry cleaner you can download a version for free and run it. You can see how many errors it finds and decide whether you want to purchase the software or not. At least you will know if you need a registry cleaner or have a different problem.

Spyware and ad aware can also slow your Internet Explorer down to a crawl. You will want to scan your computer for spyware and make sure you have nothing running in the background using up all your resources and collecting information.

Microsoft Registry Cleaner for Vista http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/microsoft-registry-cleaner-for-vista http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/microsoft-registry-cleaner-for-vista#comments Thu, 29 Oct 2009 20:19:15 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=166 If you are looking for a good registry cleaner for Microsoft Vista here is some information you can use before deciding on which registry cleaner to trust your computer to. While there are some free registry cleaners for Vista we usually don’t recommend them. The fact is they don’t do a thorough job.

In fact most free registry cleaners are not worth using as they are poorly written and may damage your computer. After all why do you think they are free. Some of them are made not to do a complete job of repairing your registry on purpose. This gives you a reason to upgrade to their “pro” version.

You may be getting the stop c0000218 registry file failure windows vista error. To correctly repair this error you will definitely need a registry repair software that is made for Vista. While the Windows registry can be edited and repaired manually, even experienced computer technicians will usually not do it manually. If you delete or alter the wrong file you may cause your computer to become unstable or even unusable.

It is much easier using registry repair software. The one time investment you have to pay for decent software is well worth it, as you can use it again and again. Some of them you can even schedule for routine maintenance, which you should be doing anyways to keep your registry error-free and your computer running smooth.

Most professional registry cleaners will now work on Windows Vista with no problems. Most of the free ones will not work on Windows Vista correctly. Since the owner of the software has not made any money, why should they bother to upgrade there software. Another reason you should avoid free software.

The top three registry cleaners that work well with Vista are listed on our main page. You can download any one of them for free and scan your computer. From there you can analyze how many errors you have and decide whether you want to invest in the software or not. Free Registry Cleaner XP - What Really Works? http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/free-registry-cleaner-xp-what-really-works http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/free-registry-cleaner-xp-what-really-works#comments Thu, 30 Jul 2009 17:12:45 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=163 If you are running Windows XP and are looking for a free registry cleaner here is some information you will want to read before deciding on which one to use. While you will find some free registry cleaners for XP the question is, are they really worth using, and can you trust your computer to them?

Did you ever wonder why they are free? You may have noticed there is always an upgrade option, which of course would cost you money. The truth is the free registry cleaners do not do a complete job. In fact they are designed that way. If they were not then you would have no reason to pay for their upgrade.

You’re much better investing in a good professional program right from the start. The paid versions do a thorough job the first time. Plus you get lifetime upgrades and excellent tech support if you need them. A good registry cleaner will find many more errors and files that are corrupt compared to the free ones.

Why do half the job when you can do it right the first time. Of course everyone likes “free” including myself. But you have to remember you paid a lot of money for your computer, why trust it to poorly written free software. The Windows Registry is like the heart of your computers system.

If you happen to delete or alter the wrong registry file your computer may become unusable or very unstable. Your problem will then be worse than what you started with. If you want to prove this to yourself go ahead and download a free registry cleaner for XP and run a scan. Then go to our Main page download Regcure and run it.

Look at how many more errors it finds that the free version missed. The free download of Regcure is a great way to see if you really need a registry cleaner or how many errors are on your PC. You will not be able to repair your registry until you register the software. The one-time fee is well worth it though.

Once you own a good registry repair program you will be able to keep your computer maintained and properly running. Most of them allow you to schedule scans so you do not forget. The best time to run a scan is at night when you’re not using your computer.

There is also another great feature you can use very easily and that is to remove program from your start up safely. This will allow for your computer to start up and shut down much faster.

Most people that run a registry cleaner for the first time will notice a vast improvement in speed and performance. It’s like giving your computer a good tuneup! You may just put off buying that new computer after all.

Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working Error With Vista http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-explorer-has-stopped-working-error-with-vista http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/windows-explorer-has-stopped-working-error-with-vista#comments Tue, 02 Jun 2009 19:20:55 +0000 Mike Tucker http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com/?p=161 If you are running Windows Vista and get the windows explorer has stopped working error here is some information for you. There are several different reasons you could be getting the error. Here are some steps you can follow to eliminate this error.

First you will want to do a general cleaning. Go to your computer, right-click on your hard drive and select properties. From there you can run your disk cleanup. After that is done you’ll want to make sure you do not have a virus hiding in your computer. Update your virus definitions and run a full scan, this may take a while.

Next you’ll want to update and run your spyware program. Spyware can easily hide in the background of your computer hogging your memory and causing your CPU to run near hundred percent without you knowing it. You want to make sure none is installed on your computer. If you do not have a spyware removal program you will have too download one from a third party.

If you have not found anything at this point than more than likely is a registry problem. In fact registry errors are the biggest cause of Windows Explorer errors. Problem is Windows does not come with a registry cleaner or scanner. If you have not downloaded a registry cleaner in the past you will do so at this point. You can visit our Main page to see which ones we recommend.

As tempting as they may be try to avoid the free ones. Most of them are poorly made and do not do a complete job. I believe they are made this way so you are forced to upgrade to their “professional version”. You are better off investing in a good professional version right from the start. The benefits of having a good registry cleaner will far outweigh the price you pay.

The Windows registry is one of the most overlooked systems on most computers. The fact is most people never think about it until they have a problem. The errors and the orphaned registry files keep piling up until your computer crashes or begins giving you errors like the one you’re getting now.

All your software and settings need to reference the registry. It is the heart of your system. Over time registries will become bloated and slow. You may have noticed that your computer takes longer to start up or shut down. This is because of the registry. Keeping your registry at peak performance is like giving your computer a good tuneup. The first time you run a cleaner and restart your computer you will probably noticed an increase in performance and speed. Plus it will eliminate 90% of Windows errors.
