There is an easier way to maintain or repair your registry, and that is by downloading third-party software for registry repair. This way is so much simpler and safer. You will not be deleting any files that your computer needs to run on. Plus it will do a much better job than you will be able to do manually. The software will find any orphaned files that you no longer need. All these do is slow your computers operations down. Anytime you uninstall a program, registry entries usually get left behind.

If you are experiencing blue screens, lockups or freezes, system crashes, slow at times, slow shutdown times, or very slow program loading you probably have registry errors. Most professional editors and utilities will allow you to schedule routine maintenance. You can set your scheduling times at night or weekends when you’re not using your computer. Weekly scans should be done to maintained a smooth running PC. Some of the better programs will allow you to remove software from your start menu. Removing unused programs will enable you to boot up a lot faster. There’s no need to load programs that you don’t use daily.
